Agentic Hierarchy-Aware Chunker - Privacy Policy
Last Updated: 20-09-2025
CODE AXION ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Agentic Hierarchy-Aware Chunker service ("Service").
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Account Information: When you register for an account, we collect information such as your name and email address.
- Payment Information: We use PayPal to process payments as of now. We do not directly collect or store your credit card information as of now. We may receive transaction identifiers and summary information from PayPal for billing and record-keeping purposes.
- Third-Party API Keys (BYOK): We collect and store your third-party LLM provider API keys to facilitate the core functionality of the Service. These keys are treated as highly sensitive data and are stored using industry-standard encryption methods.
- Usage Data: We may collect metadata about your API usage, such as the number of requests, timestamps, and the size of Input Content (for token calculation), but not the content itself.
- Input Content (PDF Data): We do not store your Input Content. Your submitted data is processed in-memory for the duration of the API call and is immediately discarded after the Processed Content is returned to you. It is never written to disk or stored in any permanent database on our servers.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
- Process transactions and manage your account, including your Token balance.
- Use your stored third-party API keys to make requests to the LLM provider on your behalf as a core part of the Service.
- Communicate with you, including sending service-related announcements and responding to your inquiries.
- Monitor and analyze usage to improve the Service's performance and security.
3. Data Storage and Security
- Stored Data: The only user-provided sensitive data we store permanently are your account credentials and your encrypted third-party API keys (BYOK).
- Ephemeral Data: As stated above, your Input Content is not stored.
- Security Measures: We implement a variety of security measures, including SSL encryption for data in transit and encryption-at-rest for sensitive data like API keys, to maintain the safety of your information.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:
- With Service Providers: We may share information with third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as our payment processor (PayPal).
- For Legal Compliance: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
- With Third-Party LLM Providers: We do not share your personal identification information with LLM providers. We only use your provided API key to send the Input Content for processing as instructed by you. Your relationship with that provider is governed by their own privacy policy.
5. Future Data Practices
We are continually working to improve the Service. In the future, we may introduce new features that could require the storage of Input Content or Processed Content (e.g., for caching, new features, history, or fine-tuning features).
Should this occur, we will take the following steps:
- Update this Privacy Policy to reflect the changes.
- Provide clear, prominent notice to all users about the change in data handling practices.
- Where applicable, provide you with controls to opt-in or manage the storage of your content.
Your data will not be stored retroactively or without your knowledge and updated consent.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
